- A warm and windproof jacket; those made from Gore-Tex and polar fleece are particularly good
- Walking/hiking shoes and plenty of socks
- Gloves, hat and/or earmuffs to protect your ears from the wind

Overview
Tantauco is home to a magnificent diversity of animals and plants, many of which are endangered. For this reason, the territory is declared as one of the 35 most important places of biodiversity on Earth and for this reason, alongside many others, it has been recognized as a top priority in Chile’s conservation agenda. The area de Chaiguata is located 20 kilometers from the Yaldad, at the edges of Lake Chaiguata with the majority of infrastructure development of the park.
Ideal place for camping with the family or sleeping in the domes for 2, 3 and 6 people. There are hiking trails for all levels, kayaks available to rent, hot tubs to relax in after a day of outdoor activities and a restaurant in high season.
